Hailing from the Isle of Lewis, Sunrise not Secular are one of the hottest new bands to emerge on the Celtic Rock scene. SNS are a passionate visionary Celtic Rock band. The band blend powerful rock with fluid and spiritual lyrics in both English and Gaelic, with an overall anthemic sound, creating something truly unique. The band are known locally and nationally for their distinctive Celtic music, merging Gaelic and English writing with their own individual sound. They've already put their name on the map by supporting international acts such as Runrig and The Sawdoctors, winning the "Nos Ur" competition, appearing in the European finals of the "Liet International" competition in the Netherlands. As a lot of you may know, Sunrise won the public vote in the "Nos Ur" competition earlier this year and as a result, had the privilege of travelling to Friesland in the Netherlands to compete in the European finals of the Liet International competition. Finishing in 5th place in the Jury vote and 2nd place in the public vote. The boys had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent in the city of Leeuwarden, and would like to say a massive heartfelt thanks to all of their fans for supporting them through the competition.

In other news, Sunrise are currently preparing for a new release in early 2010, but details on this release are currently being kept under wraps.
